Arlo Guthrie's "Running Down the Road Tour
Last year, Guthrie celebrated the 50th anniversary of “Alice’s Restaurant” with a tour that focused on the performance of the 18-minute saga. That’s enough for now, Guthrie says.
“It’s not on the current set list,” he said last week by email. “It’s simply too long to do every night.”
This show will include son Abe, who’s been touring with his dad for nearly two decades providing keyboards, bass and vocals, joining in the early ‘80s when Arlo was working with Shenandoah. In addition, Guthrie will be accompanied by longtime drummer, Terry Ala Berry and old friends Steve and Carol Ide from the Shenandoah days, “after a small break of about 30 years,” Guthrie says. “So it’s something like old times.”
